dismissed a lawsuit filed by a Woodford County woman who alleges she
was raped by former Kentucky basketball standout Chuck Hayes.
Earlier this week, U.S. District Judge Joseph Hood dismissed the

prosecution. Smithers filed the lawsuit on her own behalf. After

starters in at least five positions. Freshman Micah Johnson and
Dicky Lyons will be among them.

Rich Brooks says his University of Kentucky football team needs to
"do some soul-searching" after Sunday's 59-28 loss to the University
of Louisville. While he and his players are in there looking around,
they might see if they can find some defense, too.

The Kentucky volleyball team won its second straight 3-0 decision
today, Sept. 1, as it defeated host team Syracuse in the opening
game of the Big Orange Tournament. The Wildcats won 30-23, 30-19,
30-25, to move to 2-0 on the season.
