including 7-23 in Southeastern Conference play. Vanderbilt improves

John Shelby belted two home runs for

With a better-late-than-never attitude, Derek Smith has a chance to
play in a University of Kentucky basketball game. Smith, who pulled
the plug on his still-born pro football career last month, intends

well in two classes, he will be academically eligible to join NKU's
