  • Carroll, Kipnis Double Twice, as UK Edges MSU 10-6     UK got a hit from every member of its starting lineup, as the No. 8 Kentucky baseball team rolled to 16 hits, to tally a 10-6 win and even the series with Mississippi State on Saturday afternoon in front of 10,324 fans at Dudy Noble Field.
  • Not so lucky number: Cats give up 7 in 7th    Mississippi State scored seven runs in the seventh inning to rally past Kentucky 10-7 in the series opener. It took four pitchers before UK could escape from the decisive inning. MSU trailed 5-1 before James Paxton walked in the first run. Tyler Henry (0-1) relieved him, promptly walked the next batter for another run and was pulled in favor of Tommy Warner. That was when the Bulldogs' bats got cracking.
