Eager for challenge, Slive runs into it early
This week is about Southeastern Conference football, its
players and coaches, new commissioner Mike Slive said. That
directive was meant to put the focus of SEC Media Days on the game,
not its problems.

Monday UK is sending

conference on campus. Oregon State AD Mitch Barnhart appears to be a
finalist, but the school has been typically reticent throughout the
search. Given the very public hoops Lee Todd had to jump through to
get his gig, we have to wonder why he sees the need for secrecy.
