Time right for 'Cats to believe
It was exactly the wrong time
last season when the University of Kentucky football team played
rival Louisville, but this year it might actually be just the right
time.

If Morriss lives up to Holtz Test, let him stay
The Holtz Test is simple: You study the schedule of the team you're

10 Here's a list of 10 things the Cats must do
in order to have a chance, sprinkled with comments from Guy Morriss:
"Look at all the games between the two teams to this point," Morriss
said. "Most of them have been decided by turnovers."
-
Bagging the biggest prey When it comes to
sacking the quarterback, size matters. Take it from Louisville
defensive end Dewayne White, the nation's most proficient sack
artist the last two seasons. His 27 sacks in that span usually
consisted of outmuscling or outthinking an equally out-sized
offensive lineman, then perhaps tossing aside a supporting backfield
blocker before zeroing in on the panicky fawn playing quarterback.

Wildcats' offense in sync
The difference between how
well the offensive players on the University of Kentucky football
team have a grasp on offensive coordinator Brent Pease's system
heading into this season compared with last was summed up in an
archery analogy that UK head coach Guy Morriss conveyed to his
players following Wednesday's practice.

Wildcats search for reliable kicker
University of Kentucky

Scouting the Special Teams Coach: Mark
Nelson is in his second season as UK's special teams coach. Nelson
doesn't have an extensive kicking background, but he did a
respectable job with the unit last season. Perhaps most impressive

Scouting the quarterbacks Coach: Brent
Pease is in his second year as offensive coordinator and
quarterbacks coach at Kentucky. Considering he followed Hal Mumme
